The T-Bar Social Club is a modern music venue and bar located in June Lake, CA, with a history tied to the revitalization of a significant local landmark. The T-Bar Social Club is located in the historic Sierra Inn building at the entrance to June Lake Village. The building was originally constructed in 1973 as Bill’s Grill.
The specific space the T-Bar occupies was originally a “speakeasy lounge” in the 1970s. This laid-back, lounge feel is something the current owners sought to retain. In the 2010s, local resident and entrepreneur Jamie Schectman purchased the historic Sierra Inn building with a vision to revitalize it. The building underwent a complete renovation and modernization.

The T-Bar Social Club was modeled after intimate music venues and jazz clubs, intending to create the region’s “best-in-class music venue” to host year-round live entertainment, speakers, and community events. The name “T-Bar” is a clear reference to a type of surface lift found on ski mountains like the nearby June Mountain.
